Local, independent financial advisors come together to raise $36,000 in 26 hours for Habitat for Humanity.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., May 12, 2016 — Local, independent financial advisors come together to raise $36,000 in 26 hours for Habitat for Humanity.

AdvisorNet Financial is known for being heavily involved in with local non-profits, but this month expanded its giving efforts further. In an unprecedented move, the firm rallied 170 local financial advisors to pledge more than $36,000 in under 26 hours at their two-day educational conference held May 4th – 5th.

The charitable spirit of AdvisorNet goes beyond the monetary donation to Habitat for Humanity. The firm and its network of independent offices are working to build their third townhome at Habitat for Humanity’s Hugo, MN location. By the end of this year’s commitment, the group will have participated in constructing new homes for 12 local families facing hardship.

“Giving back to the local community is an integral part of AdvisorNet’s culture. What makes it so impactful is that we are bringing charitable involvement to those who may not otherwise have the time or resources,” said Marketing & Communications Manager, Kristi Twedt. “We have many very successful advisors that run small offices. Their size and personal connections allow them to serve their clients remarkably. Some, however, simply do not have the back-office to assemble charitable campaigns alone. Their relationship with AdvisorNet provides them the opportunity to do so – and take it one step further by extending invites to clients, friends and family. It’s one of the many ways AdvisorNet prides itself on letting independent advisors keep their voice but also enjoy truly meaningful turnkey solutions that they may not find elsewhere.”

AdvisorNet’s social commitment extends further than their work with Habitat for Humanity. The premier advisor network also drives campaigns for charitable organizations such as Second Harvest Heartland, United Way, and other employee-supported causes.
